Halloween Campout
Under the Stars Campout - November 7-8, 2009
We arrived at the cemetery at 12:15 and started raking leaves and cleaning up the area. It was a nice sunny day.
After we were done, the scouts went for a short hike around the cemetery, and played by the ravine.
After that, we set up the projection screen to watch movies which included: I Robot, Ghost Rider, the Sixth Sense, and The Knowing. For supper we had Dominos pizza and junk food that we all brought.
Some of us fell asleep early, others stayed up real late.
In the morning, we packed up and left to go back to Dixon.
This campout was fun because we like to sleep under the stars, staying up late, watching movies all night, and eating junk food.

What a beautiful day for Troop 85's Court of Honor! The afternoon began with a great lunch followed by the Advancement Ceremony where the scouts received their recognition for all of their hard work. After all of the recipe exchanging and fellowship was complete, scout families enjoyed a game of Wiffle Ball, monkey golf, bags or crochet. It was a great turnout with fun to be had!

The City no longer needs the help of Troop 85 to put the flags out for Memorial Day. Clark Kelly thanks us for stepping up when we were needed.
