Have you ever wanted to ride the plains like the cowboys and cowgirls of old? We may not be able to bring back the Wild West, but we can offer Horsemanship Merit Badge! We will offer it this summer by the courtesy of Shenandoah Riding Center in Galena, IL, from 1 0:00-11:50 AM (2 Hours Block) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday meeting at the Archery Range. With an exception to Week 3 (Tuesday), the field trip to Shenandoah Riding Center will take place on Friday and transportation will be provided. Sign-Up Considerations Taking Horsemanship MB will have a cost of $75 that will be paid during your week at Canyon Camp. We are very excited for this opportunity, but we anticipate a high demand for this new MB opportunity this summer. We have a limit of 12 participants for Horsemanship MB each week, so if we receive more than 12 Scouts who sign-up for this opportunity, then we will have to prioritize older Scouts and then use first come, first serve for any tiebreakers. We will confirm this list on Monday during you week at camp and will keep in close communication if we have to have Scouts take a different program opportunity
